BEAUTIFUL VELOCITY - MISS BLACK AMERICA (single)

In a world where apathetic and, let's face it downright shite nu-metal/skate punk bands seem to be popping up around the globe like vermin, one of the greatest mysteries of the modern music world is the fact that Miss Black America aren't massive. Along with Mansun and the Manics before them, MBA actually mean something. Not only do they sound great, combining futuristic punk with great melody, but frontman Seymour Glass is fast becoming an alternative spokesperson for a generation. Beautiful Velocity, lyrically inspired by the work of war photographer and model Lee Miller and her ability to stimulate hope even in the midst of horrors such as the holocaust, rattles along at a brisk pace, but still manages to retain its emotional impact. The best thing Glass & co. have done in long time.
