A Soundtrack to Complete Withdrawl...
A Manic Street Preachers
Rarities Set List
We recently asked Manic Street Preachers fans on Twitter this question:
If The Manics were to play a gig with a setlist comprised solely of
rarely and never played live tracks, which songs would you most love
to hear?
Here we print some of the suggestions and then here
one submitted by Steve Bateman (whose idea this was) along with hispossible
press list to use for this fantasy gig...

Manic Street Preachers
Songs Rarely / Never Played Live - Fantasy Setlist
July 2020
Compiled By: Steve Bateman
In response to R*E*P*E*A*T's popular tweet asking fans which rarely
performed MSP tracks, as well as songs never before played live, they
would most love to hear as part of a one-off setlist, I came up with
the following (although as with The Great Lost Singles and Hidden Gems
compilations, there are so many more tracks that I absolutely adore,
but sadly, couldn't include due to space restrictions).
PRESS RELEASE
For one night only, the Manic Street Preachers will stage a very special
concert.
Entitled 'Out Of The Shadows' - because the setlist shall be comprised
solely of rarely performed tracks and songs never before played live
(deep cuts, b-sides) - this epic, Bruce Springsteen-esque gig, will
also mirror 2011's 'A Night Of National Treasures', as it'll feature
another 38 tracks from the legendary and incomparable band's rich and
diverse discography!
Taking into account previous Album Anniversary Tours however, songs
from The Holy Bible, Everything Must Go and This Is My Truth Tell Me
Yours LPs, were not shortlisted for this particular show. Meaning that
as mentioned above, the vast majority of these tracks have only ever
been played live a small amount of times, or, never at all.
This will be a glorious celebration of MSP's lesser known past! Date,
venue and ticket details to be announced.
