Who says that size matters?
(Rosey R*E*P*E*A*T explains the reasoning behind the new mini zine)

Welcome to the new R*E*P*E*A*T.

Small but perfectly formed. If you want to know why it's downsized from 132 pages to one, it's cos with the demands of the label I just don't have the time and money (nor the world enough trees) to support the bumper annual that R*E*P*E*A*T has been over the last few issues. Especially as, despite its hardcore hard copy fans, most people now get their R*E*P*E*A*T fix via the website.

And although I and many others love the anarchic mess of the printed zine, we've been starting to question the point of spending hours, £s and forests laying out articles that most people had already seen online.

So, the idea is this. Every two months I'll try to glue the best bits of the website into a free sheet like this one, accompanied by relevant listings, rants, images and bile. This will then be given out free at gigs, records shops and in the post (in return for an sae). The ethos will be DIY, cutn'npaste and punk as fuck, R*E*P*E*A*T to the core.

I hope you'll understand. And you'll agree that this version is a provocative, messy, sexy way of showcasing some of the intelligent musical, artistic and writing talent we have, and of reminding you to interact with the website.
